Scott joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2019 after spending 10 years as Director of Maintenance at Verity Property Management. His career in maintenance began in the Boise area in 1992 and includes work with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, as well as a wide range of commercial and industrial maintenance roles.
Scott’s technical foundation was shaped early in life while working alongside his grandfather, an engineer educated at the University of Arkansas and a certified plumber and electrician. Through this mentorship, Scott gained hands-on experience in plumbing installation, water well tapping, irrigation systems, barn construction, brick chimney restoration, and electrical work.
At age 18, Scott began working in bowling facilities, where he developed advanced mechanical and electrical skills maintaining AMF and Brunswick pin-setting machines. His work included rebuilding electric motors and gearboxes, repairing circuit boards and relays, and completing large-scale wiring projects. He was AMF and Brunswick certified as a mechanic in 1986.
Scott later served in the U.S. Army, where he was assigned to the Army Corps of Engineers and received formal trade education in electrical systems, plumbing, power generation, and facility maintenance. He also trained as a combat lifesaver (combat medic) and served as an Army Airborne soldier. Much of his military career was spent maintaining Hawk and Patriot missile sites and supporting generator and facility operations. Scott was part of a select group of soldiers responsible for preparing equipment for deployment during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Today, Scott brings this extensive technical, leadership, and problem-solving background to his role at Idaho Property Pros, where he is known for his reliability, deep trade knowledge, and commitment to maintaining high-performing properties.
